Hunger Action Day is an annual anti-hunger lobby day  organized by the California Hunger Action Coalition (CHAC). Every year, we mobilize advocates from across California to fight for anti-hunger and anti-poverty policies and investments in food banks, CalFresh, meals for children in schools and child care, and food support increases for immigrants and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients in California.

Community members, clients, advocates, and providers from across the state will join us as we share our stories, mobilize online, and build power together to demand crucial investments in addressing hunger and poverty.

We continue to prioritize ending poverty and hunger in the state budget and support legislation that improves our anti-hunger programs. Here is our 2025 Policy Agenda.
